Elder D's School Exhibition

Generally I do not go to school exhibitions because of their timings however this time elder D was quite determined to go to the function. Somehow we managed to reach their on time. The moment we entered through the gate it started to mesmerise me. I felt as if someone a force pulling me inside to see more and the force was of all the beautiful things little hands has created. Here are a few glimpses of what they had created.

It the painting I liked the most

Tried to catch as much as possible in one click. Real paintings created by kids from classes 4th and onwards.

While we werer welcomed into the premises by these lovely painting we were even more surprised hen we entered the main school building. Each class room had a different look and students of all ages were standing across benches representing their respective projects, The projects were not just related to science but also to history and geography. Here is a glimpse of some projects.

This is a representation of the physical map of India all complete with rivers and mountains

What types of trees are found in different parts of the country can be known from this project

It was a lovely experience and enjoyed it to the fullest. Our legs were tired walking through the classes there were so many projects. And yet we did not visit some of the classes as Little D started crying. It was good that we went this time.

Elder D's Birthday

Our eldest daughter turned 9 on Monday. It was a lovely day. Elder D was very excited about her big day as she was celebrating her birthday in school for the first time since we came to Maharashtra. She wanted her day to be different from the rest, She also chose to wear a palazzo to school as against a fairy frock.

Sorry, I do not have any images of her in this dress to share. But she looked beautiful. The dress was a gift from her uncle and aunt,

Elder D is not very good at drawing so we thought of gifting her the full series of Learn to Draw Human Figures and some pencils. And guess what she loved the gifts very much.

We celebrated her birthday by going to Someshwar temple, it is Elder D's favourite place here. Then we went to City Centre Mall and had a blast playing different games in the Timezone. And to end the day we went to Domino's for dinner. We did ordered Dessert Bliss, it was not as good as expected and was really very hot.would not order it again.

All in all it was a wonderful day,,

Little D's Bicycle

Since her second birthday we have been playing with the idea of buying a bicycle for Little D. We went to a few shops to see what type of cycle would be the best for her, Though tricycles looked good, somehow I was not completely happy about the idea. After visiting about 10 shops and seeing more than 25 bicycles and feeling all confused we finally came up with the idea of buying it online. We bought our Little D's first cycle via Paytm. The cycle reached us in good condition.

The cycle does looks beautiful and Little D loves it too. She has not been able to ride it yet as we are yet to fix the support wheels.

Though the deal was good and everything went fine with the delivery, The cycle came dismantled in a box packing. Meaning we had to fix it on our own, no manual was given. However Hubby Dear was able to do it with some trial and error. For the support wheels we do not have the right tools needed to fix them. Will be taking the cycle to a cycle shop to get the support wheels fixed. Only after that Little D will be able to ride it (sigh).
